Carrier Connection Specialist Job Description:

This position will work with carriers interested in working with Giltner Logistics digital freight brokerage applications; help increase carrier reuse by insight and coordination of freight opportunities with Giltner Logistics Offices; and assist in development and maintenance of carrier network data used for supporting business strategies. 

 

Carrier Connection Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Oversee onboarding processes for interested carriers in digital freight offerings
  • Part of a subject matter team for digital freight brokerage tools
    • Promote digital booking tools to offices and carriers
    • Provide support/training to offices
    • Monitor and measure performance
    • Provide periodic reports
  • Support decision makers in process of choosing other digital freight  brokerage tools
  • Update Giltner Logistics website, company-wide intranet, etc. (in coordination with respective office/department) with to-date digital freight brokerage tools
  • Maintain and update Carrier Relationship Management Database
    • Promote other Giltner Businesses (Factoring, Insurance, etc.) to carriers
    • Generate carrier network data to share with brokerage offices for client sales purposes
  • Develop and maintain a Carrier promotional campaign
    • Use Carrier Relationship Management Database
    • Coordinate with Corporate Development Office for possible site visits to Carrier offices/locations
    • Coordinate with the Marketing Office for social media outreach and awareness, etc. 
  • Use digital freight brokerage tools to coordinate reloads/backhauls to carriers from Giltner Logistics Offices
  • Inbound and outbound carrier telephone calls to carriers for business and office transfer and coordination

 

Carrier Connection Specialist Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in freight brokerage or truck dispatching
  • Previous experience in office operations is a plus
  • Experience with Aljex, Parade, Trucker Tools
  • Experience in Google and Microsoft products
  • Work ethic second-to-none
  • Legendary customer service skills
  • High attention-to-detail
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Cross train in other operating positions within the team
